David Damberger is the Managing Director of M-KOPA SOLAR Tanzania. David joined M-KOPA in 2012 at launch and has led many parts of the organization including Strategy and Business Development, Platform, New Product Development, and Production. Previously, David has worked as a corporate strategy consultant in the telecom sector; was a founding contributor and Director at Engineers Without Borders Canada, a co-founder of an online ethical shopping company, and developed the worlds first Fairly Traded ice hockey puck. David holds a B.Sc in Engineering and Entrepreneurship from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Oxford where he was a Skoll Scholar. David is one of the University of Calgary’s top 40 alumni in its 40-year history, has successfully pitched his business on the Dragons Den, and has a popular TED talk on admitting failure.
